| On a recent trip to Andros, the island in the Bahamas where I was born and spent the first fourteen years of my life, I was happy to be able to relive one of my early childhood memories. Going Fishing is an attempt to re-capture that memory as a father and his two sons set off on an early morning fishing trip. This painting also afforded me the pleasure of renewing my acquaintance with the incredible beauty of the ocean - a memory dulled by living in Canada for a long time. |
